This marks the first Second Amendment case to reach this stage since 2010&#8217;s McDonald v. Chicago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"443\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/12-2-SCOTUS.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/12-2-SCOTUS.jpg 443w, https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/12-2-SCOTUS-138x300.jpg 138w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 443px) 100vw, 443px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The oral arguments are being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/oral_arguments\/argument_audio\/2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded<\/a>. The Supreme Court also will make <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/oral_arguments\/argument_transcript\/2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transcripts<\/a> available. The US government has taken the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/DocketPDF\/18\/18-280\/122653\/20191115171839625_Letter%2018-280%20%20views.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">position<\/a> that the case is not moot.
