This was a 15.9% increase over July 2014. <a href=\"http:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com\/2013\/08\/its-small-but-still-increase.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Going back to the July 2013 numbers<\/a> which were the highest for July until now, the NSSF reported 855,259 checks as adjusted. States such Iowa, Michigan, and Kentucky use the NICS system for background checks on both new and existing concealed carry permits.
