Julia, Inc. is an auction house in Maine that deals in high end collections including firearms. On March 15th and 16th, <a href=\"http:\/\/jamesdjulia.com\/press-release\/mister-magnum-elmer-keith-wes-dillon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">they will be auctioning the firearms of the legendary Elmer Keith.<\/a> These guns come from the Elmer Keith Estate.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the firearms that will be in the auction.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/CorbettTigerRifle.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/CorbettTigerRifle.jpg\" height=\"263\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nThis is the W. J. Jeffrey &amp; Co. double rifle in .450\/400 Nitro Express that Jim Corbett used to kill so many man-eating tigers in India including the Thak Man-Eater tigress.<\/p>\n<p>Then there is Elmer&#8217;s favorite elephant gun which he used on safari in Tanzania in 1969. It is a Westley Richards Droplock .476 Nitro Express double rifle.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/PreferredElephantRifle.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/PreferredElephantRifle.jpg\" height=\"200\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>One of Elmer&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fieldandstream.com\/articles\/guns\/2007\/03\/fs-classic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">favorite cartridges was the .333 OKH (O&#8217;Neil Keith Hopkins)<\/a> which he helped develop. He helped in the development of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboxotruth.com\/educational-zone-104-interesting-cartridges-the-mighty-357-magnum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.357 Magnum<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkcanyon.net\/Reloading_the_44_magnum.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.44 Magnum<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/.41_Remington_Magnum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.41 Magnum<\/a>. What can you say about him after that! First is a pre-Model 29 engraved revolver that was presented to Elmer by S&amp;W President Carl Helstrom. The second is Elmer&#8217;s personal carry Model 29 along with its holster. You can see the holster wear on the barrel of the revolver. These will auctioned by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poulinantiques.com\/auctions.asp?aID=64\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poulin Antiques of Skowhegan, Maine<\/a> which is just up the road from James D. Julia, Inc. This auction will take place on March 11th through 14th. As I said in the headline, if these guns could talk what stories they would tell.
