We <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citizen-times.com\/story\/news\/local\/2014\/04\/12\/mother-earth-news-fair-hits-asheville-continues-today\/7655135\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spent the weekend<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherearthnews.com\/fair\/north-carolina.aspx#axzz2z2ytut9h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mother Earth News Expo<\/a> held at the WNC Ag Center and I was exhausted by it. However, all the walking was good preparation for next week&#8217;s NRA Annual Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Our attendance wasn&#8217;t because we are going full granola or anything like that. The Complementary Spouse&#8217;s brother and sister-in-law had a booth for her Usborne book business and we helped them out. <\/p>\n<p>Unlike what I would have thought it wasn&#8217;t just a bunch of back to nature hippies with dreadlocks. They were there but so were a lot of preppers, homesteaders, farmers, and just everyday people. I even saw a guy with a Sons of Liberty T-shirt who was probably a Threeper.<\/p>\n<p>Larry and I spent a lot of time at the workshops on butchering and sausage making. It is amazing how fast you can cut up a sheep carcass with only a knife and food-grade hacksaw when you know what you are doing. The workshop on butchering a sheep impressed me so much that I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Butchering-Poultry-Rabbit-Lamb-Goat\/dp\/1612121829\/ref=sr_1_1_bnp_1_pap?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1397647555&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=adam+danforth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bought the book<\/a>. Of course, the skills translate into butchering deer or other large game animals.<\/p>\n<p>Life has gotten back to normal and I will be co-hosting the <a href=\"http:\/\/politicsandguns.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polite Society Podcast<\/a> tonight.
