As I understand it, a firearm can be classified as unrestricted, restricted, or prohibited <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Possession_and_Acquisition_Licence#Classification_of_firearms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by the RCMP&#8217;s Canadian Firearms Program.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/i19.photobucket.com\/albums\/b152\/Gonzo_Pix\/SwissArmsGreenClassic002.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/i19.photobucket.com\/albums\/b152\/Gonzo_Pix\/SwissArmsGreenClassic002.jpg\" height=\"212\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The problem here is that the <a href=\"http:\/\/tv-presspass.com\/swiss-arms-in-canada-the-full-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RCMP had originally classified the Swiss Arms Green Classic PE90<\/a> as either unrestricted or restricted depending on barrel length 10 years ago. Since then, Canadians have purchased upwards of 2,000 of these rifles at a cost between $3-4000 each.
