It says the shooter was &#8220;obsessed&#8221; with mass murders.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/news\/articles\/SB10001424052702303281504579220383570598944?mod=djem10point\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">From the Wall Street Journal:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>\n<i>During their search of the (redacted) home, law-enforcement officials found a spreadsheet that tracked mass murders over the years, including the names of the assailants and information about each incident. They also found a &#8220;large amount of materials relating to Columbine shootings&#8221; as well as a &#8220;computer game titled &#8216;School Shooting&#8217; where the player controls a character who enters a school and shoots at students&#8221; and &#8220;commercial movies depicting mass shootings,&#8221; the report said.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Stephen Sedensky III, state&#8217;s attorney for the Judicial District of Danbury, CT, who led the investigation said they may never conclusively know the killer&#8217;s motivation &#8220;despite the collection of extensive background information on the shooter through a multitude of interviews and other sources.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, the shooter&#8217;s obsession with mass murders in general and Columbine in particular serves to prove <a href=\"http:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com\/2013\/11\/rampage-killings-and-media-complicity.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ari Schulman&#8217;s contention that the media-driven publicity<\/a> of these killings only serves to feed the next killer. <\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Investigators in Connecticut released a report yesterday concerning the December 2011 murders in Newtown.
