Ralph Northam (D-VA) was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ralph_Northam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He was born <\/a>in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nassawadox,_Virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nassawadox <\/a>which is in Northampton County and was raised on a farm outside of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Onancock,_Virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Onancock <\/a>which is in Accomack County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vcdl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the most current list<\/a> provided by the Virginia Citizens Defense League of 2A sanctuary counties and cities, both Northampton and Accomack Counties are now 2A sanctuaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Northampton County&#8217;s Board of Supervisors <a href=\"http:\/\/go.boarddocs.com\/va\/northco\/Board.nsf\/goto?open&amp;id=BJKKWB53D4AD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">adopted <\/a>their <a href=\"https:\/\/go.boarddocs.com\/va\/northco\/Board.nsf\/files\/BJKKXU540B6F\/$file\/Resolution%20in%20Support%20of%20Second%20Amendment%20Rights.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">resolution<\/a> on December 10th. It included this whereas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>  WHEREAS, the Accomack County Board of Supervisors believes in the rule of law and supports the US Constitution including the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment. Each member of the Accomack County Board of Supervisors has taken an oath to \u201csupport the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia\u201d. Both their resolutions stated their strong support for the Second Amendment and both urge state legislators not to infringe on the Second Amendment. However, they don&#8217;t come out and say they are sanctuaries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the sentiments of Northam&#8217;s hometown folks are any indication, Thomas Wolfe was correct.
