{"id":223,"date":"2018-12-14T16:17:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T16:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/2018\/12\/14\/elizabeth-warren-is-more-native\/"},"modified":"2019-08-16T18:29:41","modified_gmt":"2019-08-16T18:29:41","slug":"elizabeth-warren-is-more-native","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/?p=223","title":{"rendered":"Elizabeth Warren Is More Native American Than I Am"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nI got my results back from Ancestry.com DNA and despite what my cousin Van led me to believe I am not more <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/elizabeth-warren-releases-dna-analysis-showing-strong-evidence\/story?id=58502291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Native American<\/a> than <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/CuttingEdge\/geneticists-real-problem-elizabeth-warrens-dna-test\/story?id=58563279\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elizabeth <\/a>Warren. I know that was a low threshold. My cousin had led me to believe that our great-grandfather on my paternal and his maternal grandfather&#8217;s side of the family had some Cherokee blood.<\/p>\n<p>According to the results shown below I am 64% Irish and Scots and 36% Welsh and English. Given I know that three out of four great-grandparents on my mom&#8217;s side of the family were born in County Cavan, Ireland, this makes sense. Moreover, my Grandma Richardson&#8217;s maiden name was Morgan which is a good Welsh name.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/DNA-1024x505.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"505\" data-original-width=\"1024\" height=\"314\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/DNA-1024x505.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I really did want to have more Native American blood than Elizabeth Warren just to say I did. Oh, well.
