This week I came across an estate auction that would set the heart aflutter of most any collector.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.proxibid.com\/asp\/catalog.asp?aid=65438&amp;ipp=100&amp;sort=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">It is from the collection of Richard Wray of Cincinnati, Ohio<\/a>. I don&#8217;t know who Mr. Wray is or was other than he owned Wray Electric Company. I do know he had more Class III NFA firearms than most museums!<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the more common items like a M-16, a Browning M-2, and the M-60 machine gun, the collection has stuff like a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proxibid.com\/asp\/LotDetail.asp?ahid=4460&amp;aid=65438&amp;lid=16300357&amp;title=Carl-Gustafs-Model-1921-1924-Browning-Automatic-Rifle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carl Gustafs Model 1921\/1924 Browning Automatic Rifle<\/a> in 6.5 Swedish Mauser with Finnish Army proofs.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Swede-BAR-1024x438.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"170\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Swede-BAR-1024x438.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>OK, that is a bit too pedestrian for your tastes, how about a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proxibid.com\/asp\/LotDetail.asp?ahid=4460&amp;aid=65438&amp;lid=16300265&amp;title=Vickers-Mark-I-Water-Cooled-Machine-Gun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vickers Mark I Water-Cooled Machine Gun<\/a> in .303 <b>and<\/b> retaining most of its original finish?<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/vickers-MG-1018x1024.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/vickers-MG-1018x1024.jpg\" width=\"397\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nNah, you say, Vickers made a lot of machine guns.&nbsp; Then try a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proxibid.com\/asp\/LotDetail.asp?ahid=4460&amp;aid=65438&amp;lid=16300399&amp;title=U.S.-Model-1909-Benet-Mercie-Light-Machine-Gun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Model 1909 Benet Mercie Light Machine Gun<\/a> made by Springfield Armory.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/benet-MG-1024x875.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"341\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/benet-MG-1024x875.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nYou need to check this auction out if only to see all the unusual US and foreign machine guns Mr. Wray had.<\/p>\n<p>As for me, what I&#8217;d really want to bid on is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proxibid.com\/asp\/LotDetail.asp?ahid=4460&amp;aid=65438&amp;lid=16300356&amp;title=Smith-Wesson-Model-76-Submachine-Gun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smith and Wesson Model 76 Submachine gun<\/a> which is the US copy of the Swedish K-gun. I got to shoot one a couple of years ago at the <a href=\"http:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/luckygunner-blogger-shoot-day-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LuckyGunner Blogshoot<\/a> and really liked it. It was easy to shoot and you might even still be able to get spare parts for it from Numrichs. It is also expected to sell in the 4-digit range and not the 5-digit range.
