And our laws<br \/>\nand our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I, for one, prefer the &#8220;olden days&#8221; before we had America&#8217;s scold and nanny as mayor of New York City.<\/p>\n<p>Never one to miss a chance to push gun control and show his disdain for the Second Amendment, he had to add comments about guns.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>\n<i>The mayor pointed to the gun debate and noted the courts have allowed for increasingly stringent regulations in response to ever-more powerful weapons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly the  Supreme Court has recognized that you have to have different interpretations of the Second Amendment and what it applies to and reasonable gun laws \u2026 Here we\u2019re going to to have to live with reasonable levels of security,\u201d he said, pointing to the use of magnetometers to catch weapons in city schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt really says something bad about us that we have to do it. But our obligation first and foremost is to keep our kids safe in the schools; first and foremost, to keep you safe if you go to a sporting event; first and foremost is to keep you safe if you walk down the streets or go into our parks,\u201d he said. \u201cWe cannot let the terrorists put us in a situation where we can\u2019t do those things. And the ways to do that is to provide what we think is an appropriate level of protection.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I know some of the wealthy are somewhat arrogant just like many politicians are arrogant.
