\nWayne LaPierre, NRA CEO and Exec. VP, gave the NRA’s response to the State of the Union address at the 37th Annual Convention of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He discussed how the emphasis has shifted from keeping kids safe in school to the gun control agenda. As he pointed out, President Obama made no mention of school safety in the State of the Union address.<\/p>\n

\n“Less than two months after saying we had to look at our schools, the
\npresident made not one mention, in his entire speech, of the need to
\nimprove security for our schoolchildren.” says NRA CEO and EVP Wayne
\nLaPierre in response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address
\nfrom the 37th Annual Convention and Sport Show of the National Wild
\nTurkey Federation in Nashville, Tennessee. “They only care about their
\ndecades old agenda \u2014 ban every gun they can, tax every gun sold and
\nregister every gun owner.”<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I think Wayne did a decent job in this address. He got the point across and that’s what matters.<\/p>\n
