That&#8217;s how you do it so you assume that is how the opposition does it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bradyunited.org\/act\/second-amendment-sanctuaries?emci=2951867f-b333-ea11-a1cc-2818784d084f&amp;emdi=c2d6cc0a-9934-ea11-a1cc-2818784d084f&amp;ceid=352718\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This is how Brady United<\/a> (aka the Brady Campaign) is choosing to portray the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/local-opinions\/the-disturbing-second-amendment-sanctuary-trend-in-virginia\/2020\/01\/03\/21a442b2-2c0f-11ea-bcb3-ac6482c4a92f_story.html\" target=\"_blank\">Disturbing<\/a>\u00a0so-called \u201cSecond Amendment sanctuaries\u201d are <strong>a coordinated effort supported by politically motivated, national groups<\/strong>. Since 2018, more than 270 counties have passed resolutions declaring themselves as \u201cSecond Amendment sanctuaries,\u201d and this number continues to rise.\u00a0 <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Christian Heyne, the Brady VP for Policy, said, &#8221; We are not talking about a grassroots movement. We are talking about a dangerous push from the gun lobby to remain relevant.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This, of course, is pure, unadulterated bullshit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you are seeing in Virginia as in North Carolina is not being directed from Fairfax. If anything, the NRA is late to the game here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you are seeing is an organic effort by state and local groups to assert their God-given, Constitutionally-protected rights. You see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deltabravocharlie.com\/home\/sanctuary\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">local citizens like in Kenton County, Kentucky<\/a> recognizing that what is happening in the Virginia General Assembly could happen to them and taking action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike Brady United who is telling people how to fight Second Amendment Sanctuaries using FOIA requests, no one <strong>told <\/strong>my friend and fellow blogger Dave Cole to speak up in Kentucky. And no one has <strong>told <\/strong>the thousands and thousands of people who have shown up across Virgina to show up.
