Adding Beaufort, McDowell, and Stokes counties to the list now makes nine counties that have adopted some form of a Second Amendment resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My friend Andy Stevens who resides in <a href=\"https:\/\/stokes.novusagenda.com\/AgendaPublic\/MeetingView.aspx?MeetingID=35&amp;MinutesMeetingID=78&amp;doctype=Agenda\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stokes County<\/a> reports that it was standing room only there with over 200 people attending the commissioners&#8217; meeting. It was a 5-0 vote in favor of the resolution. Also on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcdowellgov.com\/vertical\/sites\/%7B2D9A4CFF-B077-4D35-8C47-FDF52593850E%7D\/uploads\/January_13.pdf\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agenda <\/a>was an agreement to open a public shooting range. Unfortunately, I don&#8217;t have a copy of their &#8220;endorsement&#8221; as it isn&#8217;t on their website. I have requested a copy of it from the McDowell County Clerk&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beaufort County became the first eastern North Carolina county to adopt a Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution.  The Beaufort County Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution passed 5-2.
