Roy Cooper&#8217;s handpicked director is proposing &#8220;emergency&#8221; changes to voting in North Carolina. The changes to the NC Administrative Code would allow alternatives to voting in person to include the Democrat&#8217;s holy grail of vote by mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The law currently allows alternatives due to natural disasters, armed conflict, or extremely inclement weather. The <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/dl.ncsbe.gov\/Rulemaking\/Rulemaking%20Notice%2008%20NCAC%2001%20.0106.pdf\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>proposed alternative<\/strong><\/a> is seeking to have COVID-19 included under the definition of &#8220;natural disaster.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The comment period ends on Monday, April 20th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the comment period has been open since March 20th, it has been cruising under the radar. That is, until Grass Roots North Carolina issued the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grnc.org\/defend-your-rights\/recent-grnc-alerts\/1162-stop-exploitation-of-covid-19-to-push-voter-fraud\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>alert<\/strong><\/a> below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>TOTALITARIAN WANNABEES&nbsp;NEVER LET A GOOD CRISIS GO TO WASTE, AND RIGHT NOW IS NO EXCEPTION<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Election day is months away, but they\u2019ve decided that what is happening right now is a good enough\u00a0 excuse to make drastic changes.<\/strong><br>We the people control the government through our vote. Now the left wants to take it out of our hands. You only need to look at Virginia to see what can happen with one close election.\u00a0 The left takes over and rams through all kinds of liberty destructive legislation.<br>Now they want to do the same here under the ever-convenient pretense of a temporary emergency to force the issue of mail in voting.<br>This is dangerous to democracy on a number of levels:<br><strong>Identifying voters will be a thing of the past \u2013 along with free and fair elections.<br><br><\/strong> <strong>There will be no \u2018chain of custody\u2019 of ballots \u2013 votes for the pro-liberty right could be easily \u2018lost\u2019.<br><br><\/strong> <strong>While votes for leftist candidates could easily be \u2018found\u2019.<\/strong><br>The New \u201cCrisis\u201d Power Grab<br>Governor Cooper\u2019s hand-picked Director of Elections, Karen Brinson Bell wants to sneak thought a very dangerous change to election law without oversight from our Representatives in the Legislature.<br><strong>They want to impose last-minute \u201cemergency\u201d changes to our election laws, all without legislative approval, and this could include all-mail voting and California-style ballot harvesting.<\/strong><br><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong><\/strong><strong>IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!<\/strong> <strong><\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br><strong><u>We have until Monday, April 20th to object to the proposed \u201cpower grab\u201d by the Governor and the NC State Board of Elections.<\/u><\/strong> To assure that your objection(s) get to SBOE, please do these (2) things: (Please read both before proceeding.)<br><br><strong>Here is the <a href=\"http:\/\/paracom.paramountcommunication.com\/ct\/54933568:WBex8j-Nc:m:1:345463350:B7C12F52DB89591D5ED4FB06AF1E1051:r\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>link to the portal where you can comment on the proposed rule change<\/em><\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Remember, the Left is inundating the site with sob stories of how many will be disenfranchised and how we\u2019re all going to die.\u00a0They need to hear rational reasons from you.<br><br><strong>Copy your email from the portal and paste it into an email to <a href=\"mailto:rules@ncsbe.gov\" class=\"rank-math-link\">rules@ncsbe.gov<\/a>.
