Initially it was only half of the rickhouse and then, before it could be safely shored up, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courier-journal.com\/story\/news\/2018\/07\/04\/barton-1792-distillery-bourbon-warehouse-collapses-again-bardstown-kentucky\/758091002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">other half collapsed.<\/a>&nbsp;However, all that good bourbon is not lost.<\/p>\n<p>The distillery has begun the process of recovering as many intact barrels as possible, repairing the leaking ones, and discarding the ones that can&#8217;t be saved. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gobourbon.com\/barton-1792-distillery-collapse-cleanup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to gobourbon.com,<\/a> the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sazerac.com\/bourbon.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sazerac subsidiary<\/a> is sorting the barrels into three categories:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\">\n<ol>\n<li><i>Barrels that don\u2019t need repair are recorded and removed from the pile to continue aging.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Barrels that are leaky or damaged are moved to a coopering area to be repaired.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Barrels that are beyond repair are dumped into a holding tank and discarded.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The distillery has not released any information on how much has been saved.<\/p>\n<p>The following two videos show the recovery process. That release, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buffalotracedistillery.com\/brands\/eh-taylor#5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">E. H.
