One of the highlights for me from the 2020 SHOT Show was that I got to meet Doug Marcaida who is one of the judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Season 7 had a Super Champion Edition where a previous champion beat other champions to face show judge and historic weapons specialist David Baker. They had to make the Russian Cossack shashka saber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UDJ7R6IdmsI\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;d never heard of the shashka before and thought it was an interesting saber. It certainly will cut when wielded properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I stumbled across this Cossack shashka competition from Russia on Reddit.
