The Sportsman&#8217;s Warehouse has agreed to be bought for cash by Great American Outdoors Group. This is the private holding company that owns Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, White River Marine (Tracker boats), and a number of resorts. It is headed by Bass Pro Shop&#8217;s founder Johnny Morris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/investors.sportsmans.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/sportsmans-warehouse-join-great-american-outdoors-group-better\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>From their release:<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>SPRINGFIELD, Mo.\u00a0and\u00a0WEST JORDAN, Utah,\u00a0Dec. 21, 2020\u00a0(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) &#8212; In an effort to better serve its loyal customers, Sportsman\u2019s Warehouse has entered into a definitive agreement to join the\u00a0Great American Outdoors Group, parent company of\u00a0Bass Pro Shops, Cabela\u2019s,\u00a0White River Marine Group\u00a0and a collection of nature-based resorts.\u00a0The Great American Outdoors Group\u00a0will remain a private company with a long-term view to do what is best for its customers, team members and conservation initiatives. I&#8217;m not sure what their intention was for the brand but I&#8217;m thinking that it has more possibilities now that Bass Pro Shops and Cabela&#8217;s have been added to the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As might be expected in any buyout, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/spwh-alert-johnson-fistel-investigates-proposed-sale-of-sportsman-s-warehouse-is-18-a-fair-price-01608643788?tesla=y\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>couple <\/strong><\/a>of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/thinking-about-buying-stock-in-sportsman-s-warehouse-fireeye-fubotv-anixa-biosciences-or-velodyne-lidar-01608644593?tesla=y\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>law firms<\/strong><\/a> have announced that they are seeking plaintiffs in an effort to sue Sportsman&#8217;s Warehouse&#8217;s board for breach of fiduciary duties.
