The usual suspects have weighed in as has President Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/biden-senate-gun-control-measures-boulder-mass-shooting\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>President Biden is calling on the Senate to pass<\/strong><\/a> both so-called universal background checks and an assault weapons (sic).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\">President Biden<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday implored the Senate\u00a0to pass new gun control measures in the wake of a\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/colorado-boulder-mass-shooting-suspect-identified-charged\" target=\"_blank\">mass shooting<\/a>\u00a0that left 10 dead in Boulder,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/west\/colorado\" target=\"_blank\">Colorado<\/a>, this week.<\/p><p>Biden said he\u00a0didn&#8217;t &#8220;want to wait another minute, let alone an hour,&#8221; to act on gun violence.<\/p><p>He urged the House and Senate to ban &#8220;assault weapons,&#8221; as he said he did as a senator.<\/p><p>&#8220;I got that done as a senator. It brought down mass shootings, we can do it again,&#8221; Biden said.\u00a0&#8220;We can ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in this country once again.&#8221;&#8230;<\/p><p>The president also called on the Senate to pass two House bills that closed loopholes on background checks, including the Charleston loophole.<\/p><p>&#8220;These are bills that received votes with both Republicans and Democrats in the House. This is not and should not be a partisan issue. This is an American issue that will save lives, American lives. And we have to act. We should also ban assault weapons in the process,&#8221; Biden said.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>So if I understand Biden and the gun control cabal correctly, if only there was a ban on high capacity magazines and guns with cosmetics they don&#8217;t like as well as a background check on every gun transfer then we would not have another mass murder?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sounds great until you take into account two facts that completely blow away their arguments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fact 1:  Colorado has background checks on all firearms transfers, both public and private.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fact 2:  Colorado passed a 15-round limit on magazines back in 2013. Now it is my understanding that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com\/article\/news\/local\/next\/colorados-ban-on-large-capacity-gun-magazines-found-constitutional\/73-5e3fd331-e275-4773-8285-85ac96f1603c\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Colorado Supreme Court<\/strong><\/a> may have invalidated that ban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We don&#8217;t know yet how the murderer obtained the firearm at this time. Even with a ban in place, <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/news\/ahmad-al-issa\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>an angry, paranoid person such as this murderer is reputed to be<\/strong><\/a> would not let violating a gun control law stand in the way of something doing something heinous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One last thing.
