Amber English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the NBC Sports broadcasts on each of their wins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shaner is a mechanical engineering student at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ukathletics.com\/sports\/rifle\/roster\/will-shaner\/8247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Kentucky<\/a><\/strong> and was the NCAA Individual Air Rifle National Runner-Up. He has made the All-American First Team each of his three years at UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iTmiMwQnres\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vincent_Hancock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vincent Hancock<\/a><\/strong> is now a three-time gold medalist in skeet having won in 2008, 2012, and now in 2021. While he competed in the 2016 Olympics, he only finished a disappointing (for him) 15th. He formerly shot with the US Army Marksmanship Unit. He is now a professional shooter and coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KaVVr4FM4FA\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>1st. Lt. Amber English is a member of the US Army Marksmanship Unit. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.issf-sports.org\/athletes\/athlete.ashx?personissfid=SHUSAW2510198901\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">This was her first Olympics<\/a><\/strong>. Like Hancock, she also set an Olympic record on her way to winning. To win, she had to defeat defending Olympic gold medalist Diana Bucosi of Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Tm1cTiR3TgE\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>In a surprise given how the networks traditionally treat anything with firearms, the Today Show <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/today\/video\/meet-amber-english-and-vincent-hancock-us-gold-medalists-in-skeet-shooting\/4400687\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">featured an interview with Hancock and English.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only other Olympic sport I&#8217;ve been paying any attention has been the women&#8217;s butterfly where the niece of good friends, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/olympics.com\/tokyo-2020\/olympic-games\/en\/results\/swimming\/results-women-s-100m-butterfly-fnl-000100-.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Torri Huske, came in 4th by 1\/100th of a second<\/a><\/strong>.
