I like reading about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyperstealth.com\/CADPAT-MARPAT.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">how <\/a><\/strong>different <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.camopedia.org\/index.php?title=Main_Page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">styles <\/a><\/strong>are <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pencottcamo.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developed <\/a><\/strong>as well as the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/camoupedia.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">history<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.org\/encyclopedia\/camouflage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">science <\/a><\/strong>of it. I like to see how both <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M05\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">military <\/a><\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalgear.com\/the-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hunting <\/a><\/strong>camo styles are developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, when I stumbled across maps showing camouflage adoption and use, I was intrigued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a map of Europe with the different military camouflage patterns by country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"807\" height=\"686\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/CamoEurope.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31740\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/CamoEurope.jpg 807w, https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/CamoEurope-300x255.jpg 300w, https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/CamoEurope-768x653.jpg 768w, https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/CamoEurope-640x544.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 807px) 100vw, 807px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see France with its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Camouflage_Europe_Centrale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CCE Woodland<\/a><\/strong> camo, Germany with its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chk-shield.com\/blogs\/news\/multitarn-the-new-german-flecktarn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Multitarn <\/a><\/strong>which replaced <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flecktarn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flecktarn<\/a><\/strong>, and the UK with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meanandgreen.com\/articles\/mtp-multicam-camouflage.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MTP<\/a><\/strong> camo which is a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Disruptive_Pattern_Material\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DPM <\/a><\/strong>variant of Multicam. I have jackets that I use for hunting in CCE, MTP, and the original British DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material). They all are good at different times in the season and were bought as military surplus. They are two maps of the United States with one each for spring\/summer and fall\/winter. I can actually see that as the forests are heavily deciduous with pockets of green from hemlocks and rhododendrons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I guess if I were artistic or really industrious, I would create a US map with the best commercial hunting camouflage patterns. That said, I&#8217;m not that artistic. I will say my preferences in hunting camouflage run to the disruptive rather than hyper-representational. That is why I like camouflages like TrueTimber&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.truetimber.com\/patterns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Strata<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalgear.com\/shop-by-pattern\/original-natural-camouflage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NaturalGear<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asatcamo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ASAT <\/a><\/strong>as opposed to some of the Realtree and Mossy Oak patterns.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I like camouflage.
