Did they really have saguaro cacti in Flanders?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did someone at Amazon, which is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3yMjyhQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">where this book cover was posted<\/a><\/strong>, confuse <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/biography\/Erich-Maria-Remarque\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Erich Maria Remarque<\/a><\/strong> with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.louislamour.com\/aboutlouis\/biography.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Louis L&#8217;Amour<\/a><\/strong>? While both served time in the military in Europe, it was in different wars. Remarque served in the Great War while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Louis_L%27Amour#World_War_II_service_and_post-war\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">L&#8217;Amour served in a Quartermaster Company<\/a><\/strong> in World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book was made into a movie at least twice with a third in post-production according to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/find?q=all+quiet+on+the+western+front&amp;ref_=nv_sr_sm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IMDB.com<\/a><\/strong>. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3yKg27v\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1979 version<\/a><\/strong> featuring Richard Thomas is available on Prime Video. Beyond the movies, excerpts of the book used to be required reading in high school English class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frankly, I have no idea what the people at Amazon were thinking using this illustration.
