The appellant, Michael Cargill, was represented in the case by the New Civil Liberties Alliance. The<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nclalegal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/cargill-supplemental-reply-brief-9-1-2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> attorneys representing Mr. Cargill in the appeal<\/a><\/strong> were Richard Samp, Mark Chenoweth, and Harriet Hageman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wait a minute &#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Harriet_Hageman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harriet Hageman<\/a><\/strong>? Where have I heard that name before? Didn&#8217;t someone by that name defeat former Rep. However, wouldn&#8217;t it be wonderful to have someone like her on the House Judiciary Committee. Think of it. Not only did she defeat the DOJ and BATFE in court, she would now be on the House committee overseeing them.
