It was done by Nat King Cole, by the Rolling Stones, by Dr. Feelgood, by Diana Krall, by Chuck Berry, by Depeche Mode, and the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now I&#8217;ve driven on Route 66 in New Mexico, Arizona, and Missouri. I have seen the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/elvadoabq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concrete adobe motel<\/a><\/strong> in Albuquerque and have had a concrete at <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/teddrewes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ted Drewes<\/a><\/strong> in St. Louis. The latter is just down the street from my sister-in-law who lives just off of Rt. 66.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m going with this version by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asleepatthewheel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Asleep at the Wheel<\/a><\/strong> because I like the group and I like Texas Swing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vifUaZQL8pc\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>As to why this song is special for me today, I&#8217;ll let you guess.
