Nonetheless, the South Carolina House and Senate <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestate.com\/news\/politics-government\/article286284830.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">got their act together<\/a><\/strong> to pass permitless carry. The Palmetto State now becomes the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thereload.com\/south-carolina-lawmakers-pass-permitless-gun-carry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">29th state to allow permitless carry<\/a><\/strong>. Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) is expected to sign the bill into law as early as today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/billsearch.php?billnumbers=3594&amp;session=125&amp;summary=B&amp;headerfooter=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HB 3594<\/a><\/strong> will allow anyone age 18 or greater who is legally able to possess a firearm to carry concealed without a permit. The law will go into effect as soon as Gov. McMaster signs it. The law also authorizes the SC State Law Enforcement Division to create a twice monthly, free training class. That is still in development as is how it will be offered (online or in-person).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestate.com\/news\/politics-government\/article286284830.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The State<\/a><\/strong> on other provisions of the bill:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The bill includes stricter penalties for people who repeatedly carry guns into places they are not allowed to, including schools and courthouses. I could see Pennsylvania and Wisconsin passing it if they were to elect a Republican governor to go along with their Republican legislatures. I hate to say but the rest seem to be a lost cause and that includes Virginia. If anything, the remaining shall-issue states seem to be regressing when it comes to firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Update: <\/strong> Gov. Henry McMaster signed the South Carolina Second Amendment Preservation Act into law this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HenryMcMaster\/posts\/pfbid02ZGrLMwGtve6EYSK5zrxzPxmiCoLw7TZKbJMG96LrU7XKgnCZNZQy5dBCM11TKKnrl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a><\/strong> on signing it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>With my signature, South Carolina is now the 29th state in the country with constitutional carry.
