We&#8217;ve shot the new gun-extensively-and have a review prepared for wire readers. Due to the release timing of today&#8217;s announcement, it does not appear in this morning&#8217;s editions. We will have the product review and information in tomorrow&#8217;s editions.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You may remember that GunsAmerica broke the news embargo on <a href=\"http:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com\/2011\/12\/ruger-lcr-22.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the release of the Ruger LCR-22<\/a> by announcing it earlier than allowed back in December. You also may remember that the head of GunsAmerica, Paul Helinski, <a href=\"http:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/2012\/01\/13\/paul-helinski-of-gunsamerica-com-doubles-trebles-down\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">objected to bloggers<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/vuurwapenblog.com\/2012\/01\/29\/everyone-else-is-talking-about-gunsamericas-paul-helinski-so-i-guess-i-will-too\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">other members of New Media<\/a> being <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wallsofthecity.net\/2012\/01\/paul-helinski-of-gunsamerica-fails-at-the-internet.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">considered &#8220;media&#8221;<\/a> at the SHOT Show and having access to Media Day.<\/p>\n<p>I checked GunsAmerica earlier today and I guess they learned their lesson about breaking news embargoes.<\/p>\n<p>If past history is any indication, Ruger&#8217;s PR staff will announce the new firearm around 11am EDT on their website and by email.<\/p>\n<p>Since Sturm, Ruger is a publicly traded company they have to abide by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.gov\/news\/extra\/seldsfct.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Rule FD governing the release of material information<\/a>. The announcement of a new firearm is something that could impact their stock price and advanced knowledge of it would give an unscrupulous investor an advantage.
