Case in point is this comment by Gregory O&#8217;Meara.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Gregory O&#8217;Meara, an associate professor of law at Marquette University School of Law, agrees.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These &#8216;stand your ground&#8217; laws <strong>license pistol-packing urban cowboys and paranoid people<\/strong>,&#8221; says O&#8217;Meara, who fought the passage of a similar law in Wisconsin. &#8220;We&#8217;ve all been trained to be afraid of black men, and if you&#8217;re afraid enough that justifies everything.&#8221;<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/faculty-and-staff-directory\/detail\/1996545\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professor O&#8217;Meara<\/a> is also&nbsp;Father O&#8217;Meara as he is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marquette.edu\/jesres\/members.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a member of the Jesuit order<\/a>. The Jesuit Order has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edocere.org\/articles\/jesuit_model_education.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">traditionally been known<\/a> for their <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ratio_Studiorum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">academic<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gonzagaonline.com\/jesuit-education.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">intellectual rigor<\/a>.
