This is a big switch from 2023 when Berger said enough pro-gun bills had been passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the Grass Roots North Carolina alert below makes clear, you can help move these bills along. You may need to change the delimiter between email addresses to fit your own email program&#8217;s preferences. This is easy to do in MS Word using find and replace. Additionally, I&#8217;d suggest using BCC when mailing to the legislators urging the two bills passage in each chamber&#8217;s Rules Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From GRNC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong><em>MAKE CONSTITUTIONAL<br>CARRY NC LAW<\/em><\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><em><a href=\"http:\/\/click.e.grnc.org\/click\/gr9g-bat8q-p1tld8-swpnbl6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Senate Bill 50<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(\u201cFreedom to Carry NC\u201d) and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/click.e.grnc.org\/click\/gr9g-bat8q-p1tld9-swpnbl7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>House Bill 5<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(\u201cNC Constitutional Carry\u201d) are in the process of becoming NC law. We are so thankful to\u00a0<strong>Sen.Berger<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Rep Kidwell<\/strong>\u00a0for their sponsorship and support in this pursuit.<\/em><br><br><em>GRNC has been pivotal in this endeavour as we presented a 7,000-signature petition to Berger in a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/click.e.grnc.org\/click\/gr9g-bat8q-p1tlda-swpnbl7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>press conference<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0at his office, and thousands of emails were sent to legislators by GRNC supporters.<\/em><br><br><em>Additional sponsors for HB 5 are Reps.\u00a0<strong>Jay Adams<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Catawba, ****),\u00a0<strong>Ben Moss<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Moore, Richmond, ****) and freshman\u00a0<strong>Brian Echevarria<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Cabarrus, ****).
