By junking, I mean we went to a bunch of thrift shops and antique malls in Asheville.<\/p>\n<p>One of the places is a combination bookstore and interior design\/art\/antique mall called the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.screendoorasheville.com\/pages\/home.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Screen Door<\/a>. At one booth, I found a dish full of used rifle and pistol brass.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/brass-1.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/brass-1.jpg\" width=\"478\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nThe prices were $1.50 for used 7.62x54R brass and $1.00 for the pistol brass. That is <b>per piece<\/b>! They made a big deal over the rifle brass being &#8220;Russian&#8221; as if it was some sort of exotic thing. The brass wasn&#8217;t made into jewelry or some other trinket.
