Indeed, the Washington State Police Academy <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/seattle-news\/law-justice\/wa-police-academy-bans-sig-sauer-after-reports-it-could-fire-by-itself\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has banned the pistol&#8217;s use<\/a><\/strong> at their classes and ranges. SIG is hitting back with a website called &#8220;The Truth about the SIG P320&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So amid all this controversy, I found a story that was sent to me by a good friend quite timely. It is from a newsletter put out by Politico called the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/politico-influence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico Insider<\/a><\/strong>. The lead story was about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/politico-influence\/2025\/05\/07\/sig-sauer-hires-cox-00334846\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIG Sauer hiring Chris Cox and his firm Capital 6<\/a><\/strong> Advisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>HIRED GUNS: Sig Sauer<\/strong>&nbsp;has added the gun lobby\u2019s former top lobbyist to its lineup of outside firms. The German handgun maker and defense manufacturer retained&nbsp;<strong>Capitol 6 Advisors<\/strong>, the firm started by&nbsp;<strong>Chris Cox<\/strong>&nbsp;after stepping down as the chief lobbyist at the&nbsp;<strong>National Rifle Association<\/strong>, back in February, according to a newly filed disclosure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Capitol 6 Advisors\u2019&nbsp;<strong>Phil Hoon<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Stephanie Gadbois<\/strong>&nbsp;are working on the account as well on issues related to small arms manufacturing, gun regulations and foreign military sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Despite spending more than two decades at the NRA, Sig Sauer is the first gun manufacturer Cox has registered to lobby for since starting his firm in 2019. Sig Sauer also retains&nbsp;<strong>Akin Gump Strauss Hauer &amp; Feld<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Politico Insider is wrong on when <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/?p=55\">Chris was forced out by Wayne at the NRA<\/a><\/strong>. That was actually in June 2019.
