Gross is the Chief Investment Officer for Pacfic Investment Management and is the manager of the world&#8217;s largest bond fund, PIMCO Total Return. With regard to the amount of debt in the developed world including the United States, <a href=\"http:\/\/investments.pimco.com\/insights\/External%20Documents\/PIMCO_Investment_Outlook_October_2011_six_packin.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gross had this to say<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>The midriff \u201cbulge\u201d would be a rather kind description of<br \/>\ntoday\u2019s debt crisis. No muffin top there \u2013 if anything,<br \/>\nsovereign balance sheets resemble an overweight diabetic on<br \/>\nthe verge of a heart attack.<\/i> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nI should note in passing&nbsp;that Gross tends to lean towards the Democrats and was very critical of President George W.
