The latest is Duane Liptak. In addition to being a board member, he is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/duane-liptak-jr-b1983316\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Executive VP of Magpul Industries<\/a> as well as a veteran of the US Marine Corps where he served as both an infantryman and as a F\/A-18 pilot.<\/p>\n<p>From his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=2304182099700682&amp;set=a.285363368249242&amp;type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook <\/a>post:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>\n<i>I\u2019ve been out of the office, but I\u2019m back now. Last year, I was chairman of the education and training committee, I was on military and veterans affairs, and I was on sport shooting and action shooting. I\u2019ve repeatedly requested finance and legislative policy since I started my involvement with the NRA, and I have attended those meetings whenever I could. I guess I\u2019ll have less schedule conflicts to worry about when attending other meetings since <b>I\u2019ve been stripped of all my formal committee assignments except action shooting.<\/b> I guess at least Julie A. Golob still likes me. \ud83d\ude01 Despite a lot of effort on my part to promote the importance of the organization and remind folks of the capabilities of the NRA that we must preserve as we move forward, I have landed on the \u201cnaughty list\u201d. This needs to get sorted out, now.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Duane is correct about his role in promoting the importance of the NRA. A quick Google search shows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthaboutguns.com\/an-open-letter-from-nra-board-member-duane-liptak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open letters<\/a> from him as well as an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breachbangclear.com\/sick-of-the-nra-then-read-this\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">op-ed<\/a> stressing the role of the NRA in promoting and preserving gun rights.<\/p>\n<p>You can see his committee assignment below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/LiptakLtr.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"960\" data-original-width=\"720\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/LiptakLtr.jpg\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I guess since Duane is assigned to at least one committee, he is only on the slightly naughty list unlike Tim, Allen, and Esther who are on the really naughty list. I&#8217;m not sure what he said to run afoul of Wayne and his toadies but he must have said something.<\/p>\n<p><b>UPDATE:<\/b> It was confirmed to me today that Tiffany Johnson was removed from the Outreach Committee. Given she is an attorney, a trainer with Rangemaster, a woman, and not the least a person of color, removing her from that committee in retribution for her <a href=\"https:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com\/2019\/04\/letter-to-nra-board-drafted-by-tiffany.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open letter<\/a> to the Board of Directors was both stupid and vindictive. <a href=\"http:\/\/frontsightpress.com\/2019\/07\/v-for-vendetta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">As she says in her blog post<\/a> about her service on the committee, her suggestions and comments were well received until &#8220;the letter&#8221;.&nbsp; Just when the NRA needs to be broadening its base and have the ideal person to help in Tiffany, they do something like this.
