The Massachusetts Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security will be holding hearings on two bills that would seek to legalize suppressor ownership there.<\/p>\n<p>From the American Suppressor Association who will be testifying at the hearings:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div style=\"color: #202020; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: left; text-size-adjust: 100%;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,times,times new roman,serif;\">On&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/americansuppressorassociation.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=497d4ac3e5345d48951ce121e&amp;id=43a2149511&amp;e=8ab31444d2\" style=\"color: #2baadf; font-weight: normal; text-size-adjust: 100%;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">Thursday, November&nbsp;16th at 11:00 AM in Room A-1<\/span><\/a><\/strong>,<br \/>\n the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Public Safety and&nbsp;Homeland<br \/>\nSecurity&nbsp;will hear two bills which seek to legalize suppressor ownership<br \/>\n in Massachusetts.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/americansuppressorassociation.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=497d4ac3e5345d48951ce121e&amp;id=1cf83d71d9&amp;e=8ab31444d2\" style=\"color: #2baadf; text-size-adjust: 100%;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: blue;\"><strong>S. 1317<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, and,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/americansuppressorassociation.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=497d4ac3e5345d48951ce121e&amp;id=07893756c0&amp;e=8ab31444d2\" style=\"color: #2baadf; text-size-adjust: 100%;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: blue;\"><strong>S. 1340<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,<br \/>\n would replace the current law that prohibits the possession of<br \/>\nsuppressors by non-manufacturers with language that allows private<br \/>\nindividuals to own and possess suppressors so long as they are not (1)<br \/>\nprohibited persons; (2) committing a violent felony; (3) committing a<br \/>\ncrime of violence against a family member; or (4) possessing or selling<br \/>\ncontrolled substances.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #202020; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: left; text-size-adjust: 100%;\">\n<span style=\"color: red;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,times,times new roman,serif;\"><strong>The<br \/>\n American Suppressor Association will be on hand to testify in support<br \/>\nof these bills, but we need your help!
