Dianne Feinstein&#8217;s S.1916 and Rep. Carlos Curbelo&#8217;s HR 3999. These bills would ban any part that could increase the rate of fire of a semi-automatic fire.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/freebeacon.com\/issues\/nra-opposes-new-bump-fire-stock-ban-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The opposition was announced via an interview<\/a> with the Washington Free Beacon&#8217;s Stephen Gutowski.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>\n<i>&#8220;We are opposed to the Feinstein and Curbelo legislation,&#8221; Jennifer Baker, a spokesperson for the NRA&#8217;s Institute for Legislative Action, told the Washington Free Beacon.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The text for Sen. The Trojan Horse in both bills is this language.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>\n<i>any part, combination of parts, component, device, attachment, or accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a semi- automatic rifle but not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As I noted in earlier blog <a href=\"http:\/\/onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com\/2017\/10\/hr-3999-bipartisan-answer-to-s1916-is.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posts <\/a>on the issue, this could be anything from a replacement trigger reset spring to a Geissele trigger to a lightweight AR bolt carrier to a heavier AR buffer.
