It seems that the Auto Mag Pistol in .44 AMP, the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imfdb.org\/wiki\/Sudden_Impact#AMP_Auto_Mag_Model_180\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> pistol used by Clint Eastwood<\/a> as Dirty Harry in 1983&#8217;s <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0086383\/?ref_=nv_sr_1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sudden Impact<\/a><\/i>, is set to make a comeback. According to a <a href=\"http:\/\/lauraburgess.com\/clients\/automag\/AM%20LBM%200816%20Final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press release<\/a> that came out yesterday, an investor has purchased the rights, plans, and spare parts for the Auto Mag Pistol from the original developer&#8217;s family.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>\n<i>In 2015, after 40 some odd years of cult status, a private investor purchased the rights, plans and spare<br \/>\nparts from the Sanford family. The new company, Auto Mag LTD, Corp., based out of South Carolina, has<br \/>\nspent the past year reengineering the iconic pistol using advanced materials in a state-of-the-art<br \/>\nmanufacturing facility. Auto Mag is also now an officially registered trademark as of this month. As the<br \/>\nprototype process continues to progress, Auto Mag engineers are working to bring back the Auto Mag,<br \/>\nbetter than ever, while taking advantages of the improvements in materials and manufacturing<br \/>\ntechnology advances available today<\/i>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Auto Mag was last made in 1982. The new Auto Mag is still in the prototype stage with no set release date of which I&#8217;m aware. According to their <a href=\"https:\/\/read.automag.com\/inside-baseball-dff720715352#.856ogcx87\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>, they have produced about a dozen prototype guns for testing.
