This is over and above the exemption for those that have CCWs from states where it is recognized as a substitute background check.<\/p>\n<p>It is called the &#8220;hobbyist&#8221; exemption and I learned about it from a Demanding Mommy from Texas with whom I have been going back and forth with on Twitter.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\nAnother law-abiding gun owner who doesn&#8217;t even know the law.
