As I posted last week, the new Chicago Police Superintendent Gerry McCarthy made outrageous claims to a sympathetic audience trying to link inner-city crime with Sarah Palin, the NRA, and Federal gun control laws. Cam Edwards of NRA News responds to him here.
This is an interview that Cam Edwards of NRA News had with Matthew Boyle of The Daily Caller to discuss Project Gunwalker. Included is part of an interview with House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa who flatly states that Attorney General Eric Holder will be the last witness called. He goes on to explain that they are taking a bottom-up approach to the investigation and started at the lowest level.
Bob Morrison, like Ronnie Barrett, is none too thrilled by comments of Mexican President Felipe Calderon concerning the U.S. firearms industry. He was interviewed by Cam Edwards of NRA News about Calderon’s comments.
Cam interviews Howard Nemerov on his Pajamas Media article which studied referrals from ATF for prosecution of federal gun law violations. These include felon in possession and straw purchases. Prosecutions for these violations are at their lowest level since 2001.
Cam Edwards interviewed Tom Gresham of GunTalk on the floor of the NRA Annual Meeting. Among other things, they discussed Project Gunwalker. That is in the latter half of the video.
Chris Cox, head of the NRA-ILA, was on Cam Edward’s show Friday night. Among the things he discusses with Cam are the NRA’s response to Obama’s “stakeholder meeting”, Operation Gunwalker, and the media among other things.
Cam Edwards interviewed Jim Shepherd at the SHOT Show on a number of topics. Jim is the publisher of the Outdoor Wire, the Shooting Wire, and the Tactical Wire among other things. He also was involved in the founding of CNN with Ted Turner. He is a very astute observer of the gun industry and of politics.
The entire interview is worth listening to. At the 3:45 mark he describes an encounter he had with an anti-gunner who was at SHOT incognito and what he said to him after the anti said no one needs an assault rifle.
You are all emotion and no fact. You don’t understand history. You don’t have perspective on what you’re doing. It is all about what I feel and not what I know. You don’t know enough to have the discussion.
What a wonderful thumbnail description of the problem we face when we try to discuss, debate, or argue guns and gun rights with the gun banners and their fellow travelers. We have fact and they have emotion.
