From a Tweet by Amanda Carpenter regarding the economy and jobs:
Stop asking politicians to create jobs. Start asking employers “What could the gov’t do to make it easier to hire?”
Ms. Carpenter was formerly with the Washington Times and is now communications director for Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC)
Asking politicians to create jobs, I think, comes from wanting to assign blame.
Asking what can be done to make it easier for employees to hire, on the other hand, comes from looking for a solution to the problem.
Even left-wing types like myself can see that the latter attitude will be more effective than the former.
