I have to hand it to them. This is about as in your face as it gets from its name to the engravings. Even the serial number string of TJEFFERSON xxxx recalls Thomas Jefferson’s 1787 “Tree of Liberty” letter where he said the “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” This was the quotation that Biden mangled in his speech.
Off topic. I submitted comments on the arm brace. BUT MY COMMENTS DO NOT APPEAR. Is there any way to know how far behind they are? I submitted them weeks ago. I know that they censor comments, its there any way to know what has been censored? I did not use profanity or anything like that. I simply pointed out that implementing vague regulations without any statutory grounding, given that there are 6 conservative justices chomping at the bit to limit Chevron deference (https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/chevron_deference), is a really good way to get portions of the NFA and GCA invalidated. see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnson_v._United_States_(2015).
I really hate to think I need more tinfoil, but its been a few weeks and it has not appeared among the comments. Made me wonder if they censored it (because according to my ego obviously I made such a great point it needed censorship by the Biden admin), or what. Sadly, nothing about this admin would surprise me.
When you submitted a comment they should have given you a number or code saying that it has been received. You might check on that.
They finally posted it today. I chose some other comments posted today and they were all submitted June 15th/16th. Apparently, they are a few weeks behind. Actually thats good to know, it means that there are way more comments out there that have yet to be posted.
