The picture above features a wooden Christmas tree we received as a gift from my very handy son-in-law Jeremy. He made this tree from discarded wooden pallets. It is a great example of upcycling.
When I came out into the kitchen yesterday morning, this is what I saw on the kitchen table.
The Complementary Spouse is a crafter. She was putting patches on a jeans purse that she was repairing for her older daughter. She needed some extra weight to hold the patches in place while the glue cured and boxes of handgun ammo provided just the right amount of weight.
So if your significant other is complaining about how much space your ammo cache is taking up, just show them this picture and suggest that it can be used for many things including arts and crafts.
The Complementary Spouse loves to craft. One of her current projects is making trivets out of old wine corks glued on bases she finds at thrift stores.
After she glues down the corks, she needs to add weight so that they have a good contact with the base. She has found that boxes of ammo work perfectly for this task.
So if your significant other is giving you grief over having too much ammo set aside, just point out this post. It will give a whole new meaning to ammo crafting.
