Given his actions yesterday, August 30th was unofficially proclaimed “Jim Crow Law Preservation Day”.

Any legislator who has time to debate and vote on a “Blah Day” resolution probably has too much time on their hands. Perhaps shorter sessions and/or more attention to repealing bad laws?
On a related note, friend had a calendar during college (80s) called the “Reasons to Party” calendar. Each day had a list of a bunch of celebrations that one could use as an excuse to throw a party. Pre-internet it was pretty fun.
