Yesterday was cold and rainy so we waited until tonight to have our celebration dinner for me winning a seat on the Board of Directors.

We went to a little pub and restaurant called The Flying Squirrel Pub which is close to us. Prior to being The Flying Squirrel they were known as Voodoo Brewing and only rebranded a day ago.
We had a giant pretzel with beer cheese and sliders which was plenty for dinner. I had a Pluff Mud Porter from Holy City Brewing out of Charleston, SC which was very nutty which I loved.
Not only was the food good and the service great but it had a nice, friendly atmosphere with lots of families with their kids as well as guys stopping for a beer on their way home from work. It was a fitting place to celebrate our win.
Can we expect you to reign you to launch an effort to fire Frazer and implement a functioning member to director email system?
It shouldn’t be that hard. Just set up a single email address – say Board @ NRAHQ . com – and then that inbox just auto-forwards to the members. Hardest part is keeping the email list updated with additions and removals.
I’m not even an IT nerd, and *I* could do this… so why can’t (or WON’T) Frazer?
I don’t quite understand what you are saying but I am 100% in favor of setting up an email system whereby members can contact board members directly. It would only increase transparency which is one of my major goals.
It could be done like Diamondback suggests or a direct to member system. If it was like the email system in my former profession, both incoming and outgoing emails would be retained for at least 3 years. The system would need a damn good spam filter.
John, the spam filter would be the hardest part I think. Ideally, I’d set up the same system for each of the committees as well.
The board delegated authority over member to director emails to Secretary John Frazer, the same John Frazer who was found guilty of falsifying statements on NRA documents by the NY jury.
Frazer is a WLP loyalist, like Willes Lee and Jim Porter. Frazer does not want members being able to contact the board. Clearly the board doesn’t want this either, or they’d have fired Frazer and changed policy a long time ago.
If you need further information on the non functioning member to director email system, and Frazer’s involvement, I suggest you read Mr. Dell’Aquila’s posts on NRA IN DANGER, or better yet, contact him directly and ask him.
Reform via the board is doomed.
RICO is the only possible solution.
Congrats John!
I am hoping for a response before my death predecessors his!
He doesn’t answer mine either. Just like the NRA BoD never answers my emails…
That is unfortunate to hear!
Yes indeed.
