Colt debuted their SP901 Modular Carbine in 7.62x51mm in Arizona this week to a gathering of writers, bloggers, and other media sorts. Michael Bane and Caleb Giddings have both been covering the event. The video below is of the SP901 and is from that event.
UPDATE: Here is a link to a PDF file with specifications on the SP901.
Am I the only one who finds that sound track obnoxious? Why do gun Co's use this crap?
@ Kansas Scout – I agree with you. I'm not much into techno or dance music. They probably use it because it is royalty free or something like that.
Is this Colts answer to the rifle formerly known as the 'affordable' (every mans gun) Magpul Masada (now known as the excessively priced Bushmaster ACR)? Seems like it to me. Changeable Caliper etc. Though this starts bigger @ 7.62 NATO! Wonder what the next guy will bring to the table!
I have to agree with the soundtrack.
On my wish list? a 30-06 m1a rifle.
THAT would be something I would be eager to buy.
