The Crimson Trace Rail Master Laser

Crimson Trace has now introduced a new laser called the Rail Master. It is meant for any firearm with a rail so it could be used on both pistols and rifles.

(Wilsonville, OR) Crimson Trace, market leader for integrated laser sighting systems, today announced the release of their new Rail Master platform for all rail-equipped firearms. With an MSRP of $149, the innovative laser sight sets new standards for durability, battery life and quality. Featuring a tap on / tap off switch, the compact unit comes with four interchangeable inserts which utilize Secure-Lock Technology™ to enable a custom fit to any handgun, enabling the user to adjust the sight’s location on the rail to optimize activation.

“The new Rail Master is the most versatile laser sight available,” said Kent Thomas, Marketing Director for Crimson Trace. “Our design group took great pains to make incorporate all the quality engineering that has been a hallmark of Crimson Trace products and we’re proud to be able to offer a low light solution for the widest possible selection of handguns and long guns.”

The Rail Master offers a four hour battery life as well as the most powerful laser permitted by law. When mounted on a handgun, the low profile sight holsters easily and barely extends the profile of the frame. It sits unobtrusively on the railed handguard of an AR15 and extends the versatility of this highly adaptable rifle. Fully adjustable for windage and elevation, the unit retains zero when removed from the weapon and runs on easily available 1/3N batteries.

Lasergrips For Gen 4 Glocks

Iain Harrison of Crimson Trace sent me word today that they are now making Lasergrips for the Gen 4 Glocks. I imagine Crimson Trace and a lot of other manufacturers will be sending out info on new products in the run-up to the SHOT Show.

From his release:

New Crimson Trace Lasergrips Now Available for Glock Gen 4 Handguns

(Wilsonville, OR) Crimson Trace, market leader for integrated laser sighting systems, today announced the release of new Lasergrips® models for the Gen 4 Glock full-size, compact and subcompact 9mm and .40 caliber pistols. With an MSRP of $279, these Lasergrips feature the smallest laser diode ever offered, with full windage and elevation adjustability and a master on/off switch. The new units fit seamlessly over the Glock’s backstrap and require no gunsmithing to install. Because the laser utilizes Crimson Trace’s patented instinctive activation system, the user simply picks up the gun in a normal firing grip and the pressure sensor in the grip module instantly activates the laser to project a bright dot on the target.

“Glock handguns are justifiably one of the most popular self defense firearms on the market,” said Kent Thomas, Marketing Director for Crimson Trace. “With the new Lasergrips, the Gen 4 models now have a low light, instinctively activated sighting system that takes them to a new level of usability and we now fit almost every model in the Glock lineup.”

The new Glock Gen 4 Lasergrips are zeroed at the factory, offer a four hour battery life as well as the most powerful laser permitted by law. The low profile Lasergrip is fully compatible with the recently launched Lightguard® tactical light, turning any Glock into the ultimate in low light defensive handguns. With SHOT show looming, Crimson Trace is readying for a host of exciting new product introductions and events to capture the imagination of the firearms buying public. Look for announcements over the forthcoming weeks.

Not only are they offering a coupon code (30LSR11) for 30 bucks off at the checkout, but if you leave a review, your name goes in the hat on Friday for a thousand rounds of free 9mm, 40s&w or 45acp ammo – your choice. The promo will run until the end of the month, but won’t be published on their website until next week, so your readers will be the first to know.

A Good Company Doing Good

There are good companies and then there are good companies doing good. Crimson Trace falls into the latter category with their support for the SEAL-NSW Family Foundation.

Nammo Talley and Crimson Trace Join Forces for SEAL – NSW Family Foundation Fundraiser

(Wilsonville, OR) Crimson Trace Corp (CTC) and Nammo Talley, Inc. have joined together to help raise awareness and solicit donations on behalf of the upcoming benefit event for the SEAL – NSW Family Foundation being held on November 3, 2011.

This fundraising event is being held in San Diego to benefit the families of the United States Navy SEALS. As advocates of the SEAL Foundation’s mission of providing immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families, both companies are inviting donations from their industry friends in order to hold a live and silent auction to raise funds for the foundation. In addition to CTC and Nammo Talley, will be attended by Leatherman, Benchmade, MRS and Danner

CTC Defense director Dale Suzuki appealed to the firearms community for goods and services. “We’re acutely aware of the contributions the special forces community make in the service of their country. Since the loss of 38 service members in August, the Seal Foundation has been focused on supporting the families of the bereaved. Now it’s our turn to help them.”

New Videos From Crimson Trace

Iain Harrison from Crimson Trace sent out this release today.

(Wilsonville, OR) Crimson Trace today launched its new online video collection, featuring Media Relations Manager Iain Harrison. The video series addresses many of the frequently asked questions posed by CTC’s loyal customers and deals with installation, zeroing, care and maintenance, among other topics. “We had a lot of fun shooting these videos and believe our customers will find them very useful,” said Kent Thomas, Director of Marketing for Crimson Trace. “Each one gives an in-depth look at a specific topic that crops up regularly, which will give Lasergrip™ and Laserguard™ users another great source of information on Crimson Trace products.”

Crimson Trace’s Facebook friends were rewarded with a sneak preview of the videos last week and these have already proven to be immensely popular. The productions may be viewed either on the CTC website, or on their Youtube channel and the company expects to add new titles to the collection in order to keep up with both consumer demand and new product offerings.

Below is a video of Iain Harrison explaining parallax and the Crimson Trace Laser. Their YouTube channel is located here.

Another Win For Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace won a Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence Award for their Lightguard. I have a Laserguard on my Ruger SR9c and like it. It was very easy to install and turns on when you grip the pistol. Now to find a custom holster for it.

Crimson Trace Wins Seventh Consecutive Academy of Excellence Award

(Bowling Green, KY) Crimson Trace’s new Lightguard™ platform garnered the coveted Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence award on Friday, adding one more win to the company’s already impressive track record. In front of around 300 industry peers, Lew Danielson CEO of Crimson Trace accepted the accolade for Best Self Defense Product on behalf of the company he founded 15 years ago.

Academy of Excellence award nominees are selected on the basis of innovation and quality, with individual members of the shooting industry voting for the products they consider to be the best in their field. The Lightguard system of pistol-mounted lights allows the user to positively identify their target in a low-light environment and is sufficiently lightweight and compact to allow for concealed carry. “It’s a great honor to accept this award on behalf of the hard-working folks at Crimson Trace,” said Danielson. “We’ve introduced many new products this year, building on our previous successes, but we still design and manufacture everything right here in the USA.”

The Lightguard platform fits popular models of Glock, Smith & Wesson and Springfield handguns and the company plans to introduce more models in the coming months. With a profile no wider or longer than the pistol’s slide and an impressive 100 lumen output, the Lightguard fits comfortably into a concealment holster and will run for 2 hours on one CR2 battery.

CORRECTION: My discussion was on the Laserguard while Crimson Trace won for the Lightguard. I have made corrections above. I do like my Laserguard.

As to the Lightguard, it seems to be a much smaller and easier activated light than other alternatives.

Crimson Trace Likes Taurus Owners

If you have the Taurus Milenium Pro, then you are in luck. Crimson Trace has just released the LG-493 Laserguard for this pistol. I have a Laserguard on my Ruger SR-9c and was amazed at how easy it was to mount on the SR-9c.

(Wilsonville, OR) Crimson Trace today announced the retail availability of the LG-493 Laserguard™ for the Taurus Millennium PRO as of July 1st at an MSRP of $209.

The Crimson Trace Laserguard increases the flexibility of this already versatile pistol, adding an instinctively activated laser sight to the long list of available options. Constructed of the same material as the pistol’s frame, this Laserguard has been designed and tested to shrug off recoil and maintain zero, even when fitted to the powerful, 21oz, .45 ACP Millennium PRO.

Fitting seamlessly to the trigger guard and dust cover, Laserguard’s slim profile matches the Millennium PRO’s width, ensuring that the pistol is easily concealed and holstered. Featuring an industry-leading four hour run time on one 1/3N battery, the laser is user-adjustable for zero and requires no gunsmithing to install. The unit retails at $209 and is available through the usual distribution channels. All Crimson Trace products are proudly engineered and made in Wilsonville, Oregon. NW Multigun Challenge Will Use Crimson Trace Lights And IR Lasers In Competition

This sounds interesting – a 3-gun competition using a dark house and night vision goggles along with Crimson Trace IR lasers.

Crimson Trace continues its support of the competitive shooting sports this summer, donating prizes, guns and ammo to several prestigious events as part of its drive to promote personal security with the advent of the lightweight, slim, Lightguard™ platform. Latest in the long line of matches is the NW Multigun Challenge, July 9&10 in Albany, OR where the company will be building a dark shoot house. Competitors will test their skills, engaging multiple targets using both white light from the company’s innovative Lightguard™ handgun-mounted lights, as well as carbine-mounted IR lasers in conjunction with night vision equipment.

“This is a unique opportunity to shoot in both low light and no light scenarios and to my knowledge, no one has ever attempted it at a major 3 gun match.” Said Kent Thomas, Director of Marketing for Crimson Trace. “The new Lightguard was developed specifically for target engagement in across-the-room situations and our MVF-600 IR laser is currently in the hands of US Special Forces troops, so shooters will have the best tools available in the match.”

Crimson Trace has a 15 year history of serving its customers with the best of US-made defensive tools, first with the award-winning Lasergrip™ instinctively activated laser sight and now with the Lightguard 100 lumen white light for Glock, S&W and Springfield handguns.

The picture below shows the Lightguard for the S&W M&P, the Glock, and the XD.
