NRA Leadership Forum

The NRA Leadership Forum was meant to be Wayne’s big hurrah. I mean after all he was successful in getting former President Donald Trump to appear as the keynote speaker. Then an unhinged maniac decided to murder school children and teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

As of this morning, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) has canceled his appearance in order to be in Uvalde and will send a pre-recorded message. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) has to be in Washington for “personal reasons” according to a report in Politico. Cornyn’s office insisted they had informed the NRA of this ahead of the murders in Uvalde. Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) who represents a suburban Houston district is reported still on a trip to Ukraine.

This leaves President Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), NC Lt. Gov Mark Robinson (R-NC) who is also a NRA board member, and Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) as speakers in addition to Wayne and Jason Ouimet of the NRA-ILA.

As an aside, Sen. Cornyn has been tapped by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to be his negotiator with the Democrats on any gun control legislation that results from the murders in Buffalo and Uvalde. As I understand it, they will be discussing “red flag” law type of legislation.

As I don’t plan to be disarmed of even a knife, I plan to watch the speeches or some of them by video from the Press Room. It will be interesting to see if anything is said other than the typical stump speech.

GRNC-PVF Steel Match And BBQ

The Grass Roots North Carolina – Political Victory Fund will be holding a steel match and a BBQ to raise funds to support pro-2A candidates. In addition to the major figures below, GRNC’s “Ring Steel for Freedom” event has now landed CONGRESSMAN DAN BISHOP, a gun rights stalwart who has been voting for gun rights even when some other Republicans haven’t.

ELECT PRO-GUN CANDIDATES in the 2022 elections. Get your ticket now by going to:

LT GOV MARK ROBINSON Exciting announcement: As GRNC’s April 9 “Ring Steel for Freedom” continues to grow, we now have the honor of featuring Lt. Governor MARK ROBINSON, who initially became famous after his impassioned defense of gun rights to the Greensboro City Council went viral. Since then, Robinson has driven the left nuts as he spoke truth about not only gun control, but also family, the LGBTQ agenda, and how leftists are indoctrinating your children in schools.

CONGRESSMAN TED BUDD As the most pro-Second Amendment candidate in the race for retiring U.S. Senator Richard Burr’s seat, CONGRESSMAN TED BUDD is a gun shop owner who, while serving in the U.S. House, has stood tall for gun rights, often voting against anti-gun legislation that even other (less resolute) Republicans support.

GOA EXEC DIR EMERITUS LARRY PRATT We are also happy to announce that Larry Pratt, Gun Owners of America’s Executive Director Emeritus, will join us on April 9.

GOA SENIOR VP ERICH PRATT Also addressing the crowd on April 9 will be Erich Pratt, who is currently directing Gun Owners of America. Pratt will educate attendees on current threats to gun rights and what we can do about them!

Just In Case You Haven’t Seen This

Mayor Nancy Vaughn of Greensboro, NC announced after the Parkland murders that she would seek to end the Greensboro Gun and Knife Show held semi-annually at the Greensboro Coliseum. The Greensboro City Council was in agreement. The only problem is that they didn’t have the authority to do that.

So they invited citizens to make their voices heard – assuming it would be anti-gun – during the public comment period on the April 3rd meeting. I think they heard more than they expected but not exactly what they wanted. You can see the full hour plus long video of the meeting here.

Andy Stevens of Grass Roots North Carolina spoke. Just as importantly so did Mark Robinson. What the latter had to say has gone viral. You can see both of their comments below.

Mr. Robinson’s comments begin at about the 4:40 mark. His comments have been aired on Fox News, Facebook, and the list goes on. The number of views from various sources now totals in the millions.

Share this video with your friends. Everyone needs to see it.

UPDATE: A.P. Dillon at LadyLiberty1885 blog has more on the Greensboro City Council meeting including video of a couple of the March for Our Lives kids. Dillon notes that they repeated many false claims.
