A Tweet by Iowahawk included a link to this 2009 Tweet from Sonasoft. They are the company whose software is used by the Internal Revenue Service to back up emails on the IRS network.
If the IRS uses Sonasoft products to backup their servers why wouldn’t you choose them to protect your severs? http://www.sonasoft.com

Sonasoft’s slogan is “email archiving done right”. I guess by right they mean according to the transparency standards of the Obama Administration. Either that or the software did properly back up Lois Lerner and her cohorts’ emails and someone is lying about not being able to locate them.
If I were the CEO of Sonasoft, I’d be pushing the last explanation.
Maybe the CEO of Sonasoft needs to tell the house committee how they can get the emails?!
So, where's the subpoena for them???
someone is lying
NO WAY!! I'm sure they looked under all the seat cushions…
I didn't know that the IRS had so many Dogs in their Offices. How else can one explain, UNDER OATH, that the "Homework Requested was Eaten."
Turns out the IRS canceled it's contract with Sonasoft shortly after they claim Lerner's disk drive crashed … and was "recycled".
Timeline seems to be:
House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Dave Camp writes letter to IRS.
10 days later Lerner's disk drive officially fails, that in June 2011.
"Sonasoft’s fiscal year 2011 contract with the IRS ended on August 31, 2011. Eight days later, the IRS officially closed out its relationship with Sonasoft…. (from the above link).
They're not even trying to make it look plausible. And for Sonasoft, far from this looking like a failure of their stuff, it implies it worked all too well.
I can't think of any enterprise class email system that only stores the email on the client computer. The emails should have been on a server somewhere. Does anybody know what email system is used by the IRS?
